On January 24 and 25, the company convened its 2002 corporate meeting in Beijing. Chairman Li Xiaopeng, Vice Chairman Wang Xiaosong, President Ye Daji, Vice Presidents Chen Baoliang, Huang Long, Hu Jianmin, Wu Dawei and Liu Guoyao, general managers of the company’s local branches and power plants as well as the entire staff of the company have all presented at the meeting. Chairman Li Xiaopeng delivered an important speech entitled “Bringing long-term, stable and enhancing returns to shareholders” at the meeting. President Ye Daji followed by delivering a work report entitled “Strengthen management, seek creative development, overcome difficulty and strive for new achievements”. The report reviewed work accomplished over the last year and set out major tasks for the company this year. Meeting delegates conducted extensive discussions over Mr. Li’s important speech and Mr. Ye’s work report, gained an analytical view on the current situation and challenges facing the company, made proposals on how to achieve the work targets this year. At the final session of the meeting, senior management presented honorary awards to the selected best work units and model employees. In his concluding remarks, Mr. Ye laid out specific requirements for various corporate targets of this year.
