Henan Huaneng Qinbei Power Generation, Co. Ltd. was established on 26th, December 2001. Huaneng Power International, Inc., Henan Construction and Investment Corporation, Henan Provincial Power Company, Henan Jiyuan Construction and Investment Corporation respectively contributed 55%, 35%, 5% and 5% of investment. The planned capacity of the power plant is 6x600MW, with a total investment of RMB4.667 billion. The project is among the first batch of projects that are designated by NDRC as support projects for the localization of manufacturing of ultra-supercritical units.
